Tourmaline cardigan
BUY THIS PATTERN AT RAVELRY OR ETSY (IN ENGLISH AND DUTCH)
Tourmaline cardigan in 100% wool contains colours of the precious tourmaline stones: from deeper earthy green to light rose and rosy red. It is knitted allover in colourwork, is slightly cropped and has straight shorter sleeves. The neck band is higher at the back and lower in front. A double divisible zipper adds a modern touch and makes it easy to wear closed, open or half open. The cardigan is light but warm.
The technique that is used is my so called 3D colourwork: two colours in a row of which one is knitted in stockinette and the other in purl, that adds texture to this type of colourwork: texture and interest.

I wrote the pattern in 10 sizes: 36-54. The languages are English and Dutch. Each size has its own yoke and edges. These you find in the colour charts for each size.
Difficulty level/techniques used: intermediate to experienced. I use the 3D-technique: purl and stockinette in one row. You need to know how to cast on, to knit (colourwork), to purl (colourwork), to knit corrugated ribbing (I use a techique that is similar to that) to bind off, to pick up stitches and make short rows (I provide also information about short rows).
Yarn used: Holst supersoft/Knoll supersoft, 100% wool. See the *note under the picture 'Yarn used'.
Gauge: 6,75 stitches per inch, 27 st per 10 cm horizontal and about 28 rows per 10 cm vertical.
Needed: Holst supersoft/Knoll supersoft (see above: yarn used), circular needles size 3 and 6 (3,25 and 4 mm), or other sizes to get the gauge. Stitch markers, and a double divisible zipper.
